The Bridgewater College women's soccer team have eight players recognized on the All-ODAC team for the 2021 season.
Senior midfielder Hanna Randolph, sophomore forward Ashley Sabatino, senior goalkeeper Sydney Davis and sophomore defender Maren Dougherty have been named to the first team All-ODAC.
Sabatino, a Scarborough, Maine product, checks in at first team for the first time in her sophomore year. Randolph, a Woodbridge, Va., native, makes her fourth straight appearance on the first team. They were tied for a team high in goals and points this year, each totaling eight goals and three assists for 19 points. For both players, their goal totals were career highs in a season. The eight goals put them tied for fifth place in the conference. Randolph ended the season with a spot on the ODAC All-Tournament team.
Davis earns first team honors for the second time, making the first team last year and earning third team honors as a sophomore in 2018. The Arlington, Va., product finished the year with a .855 save percentage, good for third in the conference, as well as 0.70 goals against average putting her fourth in the conference. She set a new single season record for the program recording eight shut outs, as well as set new program records for women's soccer in all time wins and all time shutouts.
For Dougherty, this is her first appearance on the first team. In her rookie year, she earned second team ODAC honors. Dougherty started all 19 games this season for the Eagles at center back, scoring one goal. The Exton, Pa., native helped anchor a defense with a 0.76 goals against average which ranks fifth all time in program history, as well as helped the team record 10 shutouts.
Earning second team honors are sophomore forward Skyler Daum, sophomore midfielder Alicia Keo, and junior defender Lexi Winkler.
For Daum, she records ODAC honors for her second straight year, earning first team honors during the 2020-21 season. The Manassas, Va., product tied for the team lead in assists with four and was second in points with 18 and second on the squad in goals with seven. Daum ended the season with a spot on the ODAC All-Tournament team.
Keo makes back-to-back appearances on the second team. The Dumfries, Va., native tied for the team lead in assists with four. Keo compiled six goals to add to the four assists for 16 points.
Winkler earns second team All-ODAC honors for the first time in her career, her first appearance on the All-ODAC team came on the third team as a rookie. The Mt. Airy, Md., native started 17 games at outside back, posting one assist. She played on a defensive unit that posted a 0.76 goals against average, good for fifth in program history and helped the Eagles record 10 shutouts.
Sophomore forward Destiny Zapata earned a spot on the third team after earning second team honors last season. She had six points on two goals and two assists. Both goals from the Smyrna, Del., product were game winning goals.
Eight All-ODAC selections ties the program record for most all conference picks in a season. The 2017, 2018 and 2020-21 seasons all had eight selections. Four first team picks is a new record for the program.
Bridgewater finished the season with an overall record of 15-2-3 and played in their fifth straight ODAC semifinals game.
