Emily Smeds Honored During Golden Eagle Awards

Bridgewater College's sixth annual Golden Eagle Awards were held on April 21, 2022.

The Golden Eagle Awards is Bridgewater athletics' year-end awards show, organized by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), to highlight athletic and academic accomplishments during the 2021-22 season.

Student athletes receiving awards included:

Emily Smeds, a member of the Women's Cross Country team, won the Rookie of the Year award, given to an athlete judged most accomplished in the first season of their sport. Smeds is a(n) English major from Palmyra, VA.
